MaxM Directory is headquartered in and operates from the state of Maine. Under Maine law, 15 M.R.S. § 711–§ 712, most conversations may be recorded, with certain exceptions, with the consent of at least one participating party provided the recording device remains in the responsible participating party's possession and control at all times. Maine law does not require the responsible party to notify other participants that the conversation is being recorded. 

By using this platform, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Other users may record audio and video communications with you on the platform, without further notification, when they are a participant in the interaction.

• You consent to being recorded during any communication in which you participate using the platform’s audio or video features.

You further agree that:

• Any recordings you create and upload from outside of this platform will comply with the laws of the state or jurisdiction where the recording occurred.

• You will be solely responsible for ensuring that all recordings you create, upload, share, and distribute will fully comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

No Liability / Disclaimer of Damages

You acknowledge and agree that MaxM Directory will not be responsible, in any way or for any amount, and shall not be liable for any unlawful, unauthorized, or improper recording, upload, disclosure, or use of audio, video, or communications by you and any user. You further acknowledge and agree that MaxM Directory, its corporation, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, employees and volunteers shall be held harmless for any and all damages as a result of your use of lawful recordings uploaded to or created through the platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by federal and Maine law, MaxM Directory disclaims all liability for any damages of any kind arising out of or related to user-generated recordings or content, including but not limited to:

• direct damages

• indirect damages

• incidental damages

• consequential damages

• punitive damages

This includes, without limitation, any claims arising from:

• unlawful interception or recording (15 M.R.S. § 711)

• invasion of privacy (17-A M.R.S. § 511)

• unauthorized disclosure or distribution

• reliance on, or misuse of, recorded content

You agree that you will use the platform and its recording features at your own legal responsibility and risk.
